The Chamber Music Society of Oregon is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit devoted to promoting musical education and opportunities for all ages. We provide instruction from basic technique to advanced ensemble skills for wind and string players, instrument loans to students in our programs and administer an annual concerto competition for outstanding young musicians in our community. In addition, we sponsor a variety of free concerts. Our flagship performing ensemble, the Oregon Sinfonietta, is a full community orchestra led by Dr. Donald Lawrence Appert. The Sinfonietta traditionally offers an exciting variety of classical repertoire as well as presenting solo competition winners in full concertos each year.

Congratulations to our winners of last year's 2007-08 CMSO Oregon Sinfonietta Concerto Competition: cellist Michelle Leipzig, the winner of last year's piano competition, and 9-year-old pianist Adria Ye. Please see the Education page for information about the 2008-09 competition.

We are pleased to announce the 2008-09 season of the Oregon Sinfonietta and look forward to your joining us at these four lovely concerts.
